Farmer's Wife Gin Club

  1. How much is a membership?
    The Farmer’s Wife Gin Club is charged as quarterly seasonal payment of $150 charged on the 1st of each season, for a minimum of 12 months (4 seasonal payments). So 1st December, 1st March, 1st June and 1st September.
  2. When will I be charged?
    you will be charged your first $150 payment when you purchase and your next payment will be charged on the 1st day of the following season. This will be 1st December, 1st March, 1st June and 1st September. You will receive a notification prior to each charge giving you the opportunity to copy out.

  3. When do I receive my pack?
    Your first seasonal cocktail pack will be sent on the 1st of the week of the season that you join. So the first week of December, March, June, September.If you join after the first week of the new season when pack are sent, your first seasonal cocktail pack will be shipped to you immediately after your membership is purchased.Your following seasonal gin cocktail packs will be sent in the first week of each new season. That is the first week of December, March, June, September.
  4. What are the membership benefits?
    Membership includes:

    • 4 x Seasonal Cocktail kits per year, sent in the first week of each new season. Our cocktail kits include a 700ml bottle of the Farmer’s Wife Gin of the season along with a recipe and ingredients for the cocktail of the season to make and share with your gin friends.
    • Free Shipping for all future website online orders
    • First access to any new Farmer’s Wife products or events
    • A complimentary tour and tasting for up to 10 people at the distillery
  5. Can I buy a membership as a gift?
    Yes you can just select whether you are choosing the annual or quarterly subscription and enter the recipients details.

  6. How do I book my complimentary tasting flight?
    Just give us a call on 0483 036 032 or send us an email on hello@farmerswifedistillery.com.au and let us know when you would like to come!

  7. Can I cancel or pause my membership?
    On the odd chance that you may wish to cancel, you can do so anytime by emailing hello@farmerswifedistillery.com.au or through your member portal login.You will be notified by email prior to each charge of you card giving you the opportunity to opt out at any time.

    Cancelling will cancel any seasonal packs or membership benefits from the expiry date of  your membership which would be 3 months from the last date your card was charged.

  8. Can I choose which gin i receive in my pack?
    Yes, in the instance you wish not to receive either the Summer, Winter or Spring release in your pack, you can swap out for the Autumn Dry Gin. An email is sent a week prior to your pack being shipped which gives you the opportunity to swap.

Visitng the Distillery

  1. Kids
    As we are a working distillery, there are a number of hazards & children must be supervised at all times.
  2. Pets
    We welcome your furry friends at the distillery. We just ask they are kept on leads and outside at all times. Water is provided.
  3. Dietary
    We take food allergies and dietary requirements seriously and strive to accommodate our guests’ needs wherever possible. However, as we operate a commercial kitchen that handles a wide range of ingredients, we cannot guarantee that any dish will be completely free from allergens, including nuts, gluten, dairy, and other potential contaminants. If you have specific dietary concerns, please speak to our team, and we will do our best to assist you.

  4. Accessibility
    We are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all our guests. Our venue is equipped with disability parking spaces conveniently located near the entrance, as well as accessible bathrooms to ensure comfort and ease during your visit.

  5. Group Bookings & Private Functions
    Our distillery is the perfect venue for hosting private events and functions, offering a unique and memorable setting. All bookings must be made in advance and coordinated with our Hospitality Manager. Please note that depending on the date, size of the event, and specific requirements, there may be a minimum spend or hire fee. Our team is here to help you create an event that suits your needs, so don’t hesitate to get in touch to start planning your special occasion with us.

  6. Cakes & Decorations
    We welcome you to bring your own cake for your special event, and we charge a $20 cakeage fee for this service. You’re also welcome to bring your own decorations to personalise your celebration; however, please note that confetti and similar items are not permitted. Our team is happy to assist with setting up your decorations to ensure your event looks just as you envisioned.

  7. Walk Ins
    We welcome walk-ins at our distillery, however please be aware that weekends can be particularly busy. As we are located in a rural area, availability can be limited, and we recommend making a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment. 

  8. Pre-Authorsation
    To secure your reservation, a $10 per person pre-authorisation is required through our booking system. Please note, this is not a charge but a temporary hold, which will be released upon your arrival. In the event of a cancellation less than 24 hours in advance or a no-show, the pre-authorisation fee will be applied.
  9. Payments & Split Bills
    We are happy to accommodate bill splitting for your group. To ensure a smooth and efficient process, we kindly ask that all parties paying together do so at the same time when the bill is ready. This helps us streamline the payment process and provide the best service for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation!

  10. Do you offer beer & wine?
    Absolutely! While we take pride in our gin and gin cocktails, we understand that sometimes you may prefer a refreshing beer or a glass of wine. That’s why we offer a selection of local beers on tap, along with a variety of canned beers and local wines, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

  11. Is there a takeaway menu?
    Yes, we offer a convenient takeaway menu for those on the go, perfect for when you don’t have time for a leisurely lunch. 

  12. Directions
    We are located at 1378 The Bucketts Way, Allworth, NSW. Just a short drive from Newcastle along the scenic Bucketts Way.

Online Orders

  1. How long will it take for my order to arrive?
    We ship all online orders through Australia Post, with orders dispatched within 24 hours of being received. Delivery times typically range from 3 to 5 days, depending on your location, with longer shipping times possible for regional areas or interstate orders. Thank you for your patience, and we’ll do our best to get your order to you as quickly as possible!

  2. Do you offer express shipping?
    Unfortunately, we do not offer express shipping, as Australia Post’s policy does not permit the express delivery of alcohol. We appreciate your understanding and will ensure your order is shipped as promptly as possible within their guidelines.
  3. Can I cancel my order?
    Yes, you can cancel and receive a refund for your order, provided it has not yet been shipped. If your order has already been shipped, you may still be able to cancel it; however, please note that you may incur a return freight charge.

  4. Do you ship overseas?
    We do not currently offer overseas shipping, but it is something we may consider introducing in the future. Stay tuned for updates!

  5. My order is lost or damaged, what do i do?
    If your order is lost or damaged, please reach out to us at hello@farmerswifedistillery with your order reference number, and we will initiate an enquiry with Australia Post. In the case of a damaged parcel, we will arrange for a replacement to be sent out as quickly as possible.

Mid-Season Festivals

  1. How do I book a ticket?
    Tickets are available via the Farmer’s Wife Distillery website. Visit our events page for more information on upcoming festivals. CLICK HERE
  2. When do tickets go on sale?
    Tickets typically go on sale 6 weeks prior to the event.

  3. Are there shuttle buses available?
    Yes, we offer shuttle bus services from several locations, including Newcastle, Maitland, Medowie, Stroud, and more. For details on shuttle availability for each event, please visit our Events page. Shuttle services can be easily booked when purchasing your ticket.

  4. What does my ticket include?
    Your ticket includes:

    • Entry to the event
    •  Your choice of one meal option
    • One gin cocktail, beer or wine
    • Additional food and drink will be available on the day. (No outside alcohol permitted on site)

  5. Are my tickets transferrable?
    If you wish to transfer your tickets, please contact us at hello@farmerswifedistillery.com.au, and we’ll be happy to assist you with the transfer arrangements.

  6. Do you cater for special dietary needs?

  7. Is there accomodation near by?
    While we are rural, there are accomodation options near by such as the Bucketts Way Camp & Stay, Stroud Pub and locally owned B&B’s and AIR BnB’s. Our shuttle service includes stops from the Stroud Pub and Bucketts Way Camp & Stay.
  8. What can I bring?
    Bring your dancing boots and get ready to have a great time! Umbrellas are welcome in case of rain, along with picnic blankets and camp chairs for your comfort.
  9. What can’t I bring?
    Outside food and alcohol, as well as beach tents and pop-up gazebos, are not permitted. If you’re unsure about an item you’d like to bring, please don’t hesitate to contact us at hello@farmerswifedistillery.com.au for clarification.
  10. Can I bring my children or pets?
    Our Mid-Season Festivals are strictly 18+ events. As such, children and pets are not permitted.

  11. Is smoking or vaping allowed?
    For safety reasons, we have strict no-smoking/no-vaping areas at the distillery due to the presence of highly flammable equipment. We take this matter very seriously. Any patrons found vaping in non-designated areas will be asked to leave the venue immediately.
  12. What happens if it rains?
    If we need to cancel or postpone an event due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control, ticket holders will be offered a full refund. A little rain never hurt anyone, so bring those dancin’ boots and ponchos!
    Outdoor Timber Tables and Verandah are weather affected – alternative seating during inclement weather cannot be guaranteed. While we will do our best to accomodate requested seating, sections may be subject to change.
  13. What is your cancellation policy?
    If you need to cancel your ticket due to unforeseen circumstances, please reach out to us directly at hello@farmerswifedistillery.com.au.

Our Gin

  1. Where can I buy Farmer’s Wife Gin?
    Our full range of Farmer’s Wife products is available directly from our Distillery Door at 1378 The Bucketts Way, Allworth, or online at www.farmerswifedistillery.com.au. We also partner with bottle shop chains and local independent stores to offer our core range—ask your local retailer if they carry our gin!

  2. Can I recycle my bottle?
    If you’re local to the distillery, we welcome you to bring back your empty bottle for recycling. Alternatively, our beautiful gin bottles make a lovely vase for fresh flowers or greenery—perfect for giving them a second life!

  3. Is there anything new coming up?
    Well, that might just be a secret for now… but what we can say is, we’re always brewing up exciting new ideas! Join our mailing list to stay in the loop and be the first to know!

Gift Cards

  1. Can I buy a gift card for a friend?
    Yes, we offer gift cards, and they make a fantastic gift! You can purchase a digital gift card online, or if you prefer something tangible, physical gift cards are available at our distillery.

  2. Where can I use my gift cards?
    Whether you choose an electronic or physical gift card, both can be used online to purchase gin or redeemed at the distillery for dining or products in the gin shop.
