About Us

For us, craft distilling was born from a deep love of country life and the desire to create something meaningful with our own hands. As third-generation farmers, we’ve always been shaped by the land, by growing food, tending gardens, sharing meals and gathering with family and friends. The idea of distilling felt like a natural extension of all the things we love; flavour, community, creativity and connection.

The Farmer’s Wife Distillery began in the most humble of places; the old motorbike shed on our farm. What started as experiments with botanicals and late-night recipe testing soon grew into a passion for mastering flavour and crafting spirits that felt genuinely unique. Every batch became a way to celebrate the ingredients we love, the community that surrounds us and the stories of our region.

But it wasn’t just about making gin. It was about creating a place to gather. A place where people could slow down, sip something beautiful and feel the warmth of country hospitality. That dream guided us from the shed to the distillery, restaurant and bar we now proudly call home.

Today, craft distilling continues to inspire us because it allows us to share our love of the land, our creativity and our story… one bottle, one cocktail and one visit at a time.
